Songs for the Nocturne Issue (a selection)

A small mix of songs that are inspiring the Half Mystic team in our creation of Issue III.

I can explain it so well. The night soft-nosed and sprawling. This air is heavy on my teeth, but I can trust it for now.

I find nocturne in the buffering of the wind against my car windows as I speed down the freeway at nine o’clock in the evening.

¿Libretto Crescendo?

A violin plays, the notes lifting up and back down again, reverting in the end back again into air. I breathe. Somehow, it makes sense.

my present self is grateful to my past self five, ten years ago for making an effort to remember things that happened.

Nocturnes are magical concepts because they blur this realm of fear and comfort, waking and sleep, into a state of dreaming.

There is a beautiful thing waiting for us in the distance, & it sounds so much like song.
